print & cut invitation

Print your invitation, two per 8.5" x 11 " sheet (A). (It may take a few tries to achieve a layout you like - do a few test runs.) Using a razor knife and straight edge or paper cutter, cut to 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"

adhere layers

Apply adhesive to the back of your 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" invitation.

Carefully center onto 5" x 5" flat card, allowing a 1/4" border on all sides (B). Adhere. Run a bone folder lightly over your invitation to force out air bubbles. (for style I proceed to the 'adhere to petal invitation' section.)

style variations

STYLE II: sash
Fold decorative band around the invitation overlapping in the middle. You may want to attach the band to itself with a glue stick, glue dot, double-sided tape, or sticker.

STYLE III: sash & ribbon
Fold decorative band around the invitation overlapping in the middle.

Cut a 15" length of cord or ribbon and tie a single square knot in the front of the invitation. Trim the ends of the cord. If you wish to make a bow, the length of your ribbon or cord should be longer.

adhere to petal invitation

To adhere your invitation into the petal invitation, carefully run the entire invitation through the Xyron machine, or simply using a strong double-sided tape, apply tape along all sides of the invitation, close to the edges.

Carefully center onto the inside of the petal, there should be an 1/8" border on all sides (D). Adhere. Run a bone folder lightly over your invitation to force out air bubbles if there are any.

Close the petal as shown below (E).
