Silhouette Recipes

The Silhouette is a D.I.Y. cutting tool, that when hooked up to your computer (Mac & PC compatible), will cut designs and lettering that you create! Decorate your walls with inspiring art, make your own invitations and cards, or cut detailed shapes for paper crafts. Cuts vinyl, vellum, paper and cardstock.

General Tips & Techniques: Creating with the Silhouette works best if you make sure your blade is sharp and your mat's adhesive is sticky so your paper does not slide during cutting. Always make sure to double check that the cut settings are set to the proper paper thickness before sending file to cut. If you have access to a scanner, experiment with scanning your own artwork, photos or paper; just remember high contrast images work best for outlining and cutting.
