Yuzen Red Black Saya Laquer Fine Paper

Japanese decorative papers reflect the superb craftsmanship, design sensibilities and rich variety of the Edo Period (1630 - 1868). Urushi papers are silkscreened with Japanese lacquer and have a strong, raised pattern that gives a wonderful tactile feel to the sheets.

This dramatic urushi paper is in the stylized Saya pattern silkscreened in black and red on handmade Kozo paper. It is ideally suited for bookbinding because of its strength and glueability. It is also excellent for origami, collage paper crafts, lampshades and card making.

Sheet size - 25 1/2" x 19"
