Japanese decorative papers reflect the superb craftsmanship, design sensibilities and rich variety of the Edo Period (1630 - 1868). Chiyogami papers are characteristically small dense patterns that were originally wood block prints but are now typically silkscreened.

This elegant and charming plum blossom and branch pattern in blossom, strawberry and white on a chocolate background with gravel and brown branches is silkscreened on handmade Japanese paper. Ideally suited for bookbinding because of its strength and glueability, it is also excellent for origami, collage paper crafts, lampshades, card making and of course everyone's favorite... wedding invitations.
