Ordering Online

For our designs shown in suites with multiple printed cards, you can order some or all of the printed cards and components shown.

Online Order Process

1. Select the suite or design you would like to order – if you’ve selected a suite you will then select a card within that suite to personalize.
2. Select a print method and quantity, then begin personalizing your card by customizing your text, selecting ink colors and fonts.
3. Add any of the components shown in the suite such as envelopes, enclosures, envelope liners, or ribbon, as well as assembly services.
4. If you’ve selected a suite, you have the opportunity to customize additional printed cards or check out.

Once you've placed your order online your information will be sent to the Paper Source Invitation Department where your printed cards will be typeset by our Design Team and a proof will be emailed to you for approval. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more information on the proofing process.

Print Methods

Flat Printing

Flat Printing blends current technology for printing multiple colors at once with the need for faster production time. Our flat printing is semi-permanent and smooth to the touch. This is a great method for all styles from casual to formal to modern.

Letterpress

Letterpress is undeniably special and luscious. This print method originated in the 15th century and is known for its timeless beauty and rich, tactile feel. Type and image are impressed into the paper through the pressure of a clam-shell-like printing press, resulting in a luxuriously textured imprinted surface.

Engraving

Engraving is wonderful for designs with fine lines and detail as well as the use of light inks on dark colored paper (like our favorite combination of white ink on chocolate paper), which cannot be achieved by other print methods. An engraved piece is characterized by raised type/image sometimes surrounded by a soft "halo" and slight indentation on the back of the printed surface.

Additional Components

Our suites are shown with a variety of embellishments from enclosures and backings to sashes and ribbon. You can order some or all of the components shown with a printed card, or you can choose not to add these items to your order.

Assembly Services

There are two ways to order components like envelop liners, sashes and ribbon. You can purchase the embellishments and assemble your invitation at home, or you can order assembly service with each component to have the Paper Source Assembly Team hand-assemble your printed card and embellishments. For example, if you plan to add envelope liners to your order you can choose to add an envelope lining service- the PS Assembly Team will adhere your envelope liners inside your envelopes as shown in the suite. If you order just the envelope liners, you will receive pre-cut envelope liners in the size specified, which you can assemble at home.

*Some enclosures do not require assembly as the printed card slips into the enclosure and does not need to be affixed
**Sash assembly and ribbon tying is not appropriate for some enclosure types because you will not be able to insert your response card and stamped response card envelope if we pre-assemble a sash or ribbon around a closed enclosure. In many of these cases we recommend assembly at home.

Return Address Printing

Although return address printing is not available for order through our website, you can add return address printing service to your order by calling 1-888-PAPER-11.

Return address printing can be done in flat printing, letterpress printing or engraving and can be done on any envelope size. Please call for more information on available options and return address printing pricing.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

All components, printed & assembled items in a Paper Source custom printing order cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded at any time.

Payment

Once you are finished personalizing your card(s) and review all items in your Shopping Cart you will see the total price of your order and will enter your payment information. Payment will be taken in full at the time you place your order online.

Proofs

A proof for each printed piece will be emailed to you from the Paper Source Invitations Department within 2-3 business days of your order being placed. Printed items will be typeset as shown online using the same spacing and alignment while making accommodations for your specific text.

Proof Color

Proofs for 1-color designs are provided in black & white; proofs for 2-color designs are provided in color. Please note that due to variations in computer screen resolutions, the colors as you view them at home may vary from the finished product.

Proof Changes

If you would like to make changes to your proof(s), we ask that you submit your requested changes to us in writing (via fax or email). After receiving your changes a revised proof for each piece will be sent to you at no additional charge. Any changes beyond this second complimentary proof will result in additional proof fees of $20 each.

Proofreading

Please proofread carefully. Paper Source is not responsible for unmarked errors. Proofs cannot be approved "with changes"; proofs must be completely finalized and "perfect!" when approved. We require all proofs to be approved (signed & dated) by you and faxed to us before printing begins.

How Long Will it Take?

Once we receive the approved proof(s) from you printing will be scheduled. Your order will ship after printing is completed. All packages ship from Chicago, Illinois according to the shipping method specified on your order.

Paper Source custom print production times* are as follows:

Flat Printing: approximately 3-5 business days
Letterpress Printing, 1-color: approximately 7-10 business days
Letterpress Printing, 2-color: approximately 15-20 business days
Engraving: approximately 15-20 business days

*Please note: The timelines above do not include proof time or time in transit. Business days do not include weekends or holidays.

Samples

When you place your order you will make a selection as to whether you approve for Paper Source to use excess pieces from your order as sample material in our store(s), catalogs and in magazine articles. Care and discretion regarding addresses, dates and/or personal information is used in the display of all sample pieces. If you have supplied us with artwork or typesetting, your printed material will not be used as samples.
